Closing the System

Place the cover on the chassis and offset it slightly toward the back of the
system, so that the hooks on the sides of the cover fit over the
corresponding slots on the sides of the chassis.

Slide the cover toward the front of the chassis till the holes on the cover are
aligned with the holes on the chassis.

Secure the cover with the two securing screws. See Figure3-5.
Cooling Shroud
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
Youshould only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in
yourproduct documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service
andsupport team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came
withthe product.

Removing the Cooling Shroud

Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect
the system from its electrical outlet.

Open the system. See "Opening the System" on page 53.

Lift the cooling shroud out of the system board assembly. See Figure3-6.
