Power Supplies WARNING: Whenever you need to lift the system, get others to assist you.
Toavoid injury, do not attempt to lift the system by yourself.
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician.
Youshould only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in
yourproduct documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service
andsupport team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized by Dell is not
covered by your warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came
withthe product.
Removing the Non-Redundant Power Supply
WARNING: In order to reduce the risk of injury from electric shock, disconnect
the failed power supply from the AC power before removing it from the system.
CAUTION: The system requires one power supply to operate the system normally.
Remove and replace only one power supply at a time.

Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect
the system from its electrical outlet.

Disconnect the power supply from the system.

Remove the cables connecting the power supply to the system board and
backplane. See Figure5-2, Figure 5-4, and Figure 5-6.

Remove the two screws securing the power supply to the system.

Remove the four screws securing the bracket to the power module.

Lift the bracket and power supply out of the system. See Figure3-16.
