Properties

ySSID: The SSID is the unique name shared among all devices in a wireless network. The SSID must be the same for all devices in the wireless network. It is case sensitive and has a maximum length of 32 bytes.

ySSID Broadcast: Select this option to enable the SSID to broadcast in your network. When configuring the network, it is suggested to enable this function but disable it when the configuration is complete. With this enabled, someone could easily obtain the SSID information with the site survey software and get unauthorized access to a private network. With this disabled, network security is enhanced and can prevent the SSID from being seen on networked.

yChannel: Select the appropriate channel from the list to correspond with the network settings; for example, 1 to 11 channels are suitable for the North America area.

yTransmission Mode: There are 3 modes to select, 802.11b (2.4G, 1~11Mbps), 802.11g (2.4G, 54Mbps) and Mix mode (b and g).

yTransmission Rate: The default is Auto. Available range is from 1 to 54Mbps. The rate of data transmission should be set depending on the speed of the wireless network. Select from a range of transmission speed or keep the default setting, Auto, to make the Access Point automatically use the fastest rate possible.
