3‐6‐2 Special Applications

Some applications require multiple simultaneous connections, which cannot be set up with simple NAT rules. You can configure the “Special Applications” feature for such applications.

Input the IP address of the computer in the local

 

network that provides the Internet service.

Computer Name

Computer names found in the local network are listed

 

here. You can select a computer name and click the

 

“<<” button to add the selected computer’s IP

 

address to the “IP Address” field.

TCP Port to Open

Input the TCP port number(s) here. The port number

 

can be a single value, or a range (e.g. “20‐50”). If you

 

need to input multiple, non‐contiguous port numbers,

 

separate each number with a comma (“,”). If the

 

application does not use TCP ports, leave it blank.

UDP Port to Open

Input the UDP port number(s) here. The port number

 

can be a single value, or a range (e.g. “20‐50”). If you

 

need to input multiple, non‐contiguous port numbers,

 

separate each number with a comma (“,”). If the

 

application does not use UDP ports, leave it blank.

Comment

You can add an optional note in the “Comment” field.

Popular Applications

Here is a list of port mapping settings for numerous

 

network games. Select a game from the dropdown

 

menu and click “Add” to add the settings to the

 

respective fields.

Click “Add” to add the settings to the table.

Reset

Click “Reset” to clear all the settings.
