Printing

ProblemSolution

Parts of characters are missing, as shown here:

Printed characters are not what you expect.

The printer does nof print the typesty2e or characters set by the software.

You selected the Roman, Suns Serif, or draft font with your software, but characters are printed in a different font.

The printer prints italic characters instead of the graphic and Iine characters you selected.

There is too much slack in the ribbon or the ribbon has caught on something. Stop printing, turn off the printer, and reinstall the ribbon cartridge. See page l-9.

Your software may not be set up correctly for the printer. Use the program’s setup (or install) procedure to check the printer settings, and change them if necessary.

The wrong font is selected. If your program accepts control codes, set the codes to the values below to select the fonts:

Roman: ESC k 0Sans Serif: ESC k 1Draft: ESC x 0See pages 3-43 and 9-23.

The wrong character table is selected. If your application program can send control codes, specify the Epson Extended Graphics character table using ESC t 1.

See page 9-34.

You can also set a DIP switch to select the graphics character table. To do this, turn off the printer, turn on DIP switch 1-3, and then turn on the printer. See page 3-49.
