A series of strange characters is being printed.

The printing position is incorrect.

Printing starts too high or too low on the page.

The line spacing is incorrect.

One Zinc of printing takes up two lines.

Ycu can also set a DIP switch to cancel condensed mode. To do this, turn off the printer, turn off DIP switch l-l, and then turn on the printer. See page 3-46.

Your printer and computer may not be communicating correctly. Make sure that you are using the correct interface cable, that the communication protocol is correct, and that the interface cable is securely plugged in. See pages 3-13 and g-11. See your computer manual for more information.

The top of form position may be incorrect. Adjust the top of form position as described on page 3-33. If the problem persists, check your software program’s top margin setting and change it if necessary.

If your application program can send control codes, set the line spacing using ESCO, ESC 1, ESC 2, ESC 3, or ESC A. See pages 9-15, 9-16, and 9-17.

The margins may not be set correctly. If your application program can send control codes, set the left and right margins using ESC 1 or ESC Q. See pages 9-19 and 9-20.
