Using CD TEXT functions

Youcan use these functions only with a CD

TEXTcompatible multi-CD player.

Somediscs have certain information encoded

onthe disc during manufacture. These discs

maycontain such information as the CD title,

tracktitle, artists name and playback time

andare called CD TEXT discs. Only these spe-

ciallyencoded CD TEXT discs support the

functionslisted below.

Displaying titles on CD TEXT discs

%PressDISPLAY.

PressDISPLAY repeatedly to switch between

thefollowing settings:

:track title: disc title and :disc artist

name:disc artist name and :track title

:track title and :track artist name:

trackartist name and :track title

#Ifspecific information has not been recorded

ona CD TEXT disc, title or name is not displayed.

Scrollingtitles in the display

Thisunit can display the first 14 (22) letters of

disctitle, disc artist name, track title and track

artistname. When the text information is long-

erthan 14 (22) letters, you can scroll the dis-

playas follows.

%PressDISPLAY and hold until the title

beginsto scroll through the display.

Thetitles scroll.

Note

WhenEver Scroll is set to ON at the initial setting,

CDtext information scrolls continuously in the

display.If you want to display the first 14 (22)

charactersof text information temporarily and

scrollfrom the beginning, press and hold

DISPLAY.About Ever Scroll, refer to Switching

Selecting tracks from the track

title list

Tracktitle list lets you see the list of track titles

ona CD TEXT disc and select one of them to

playback.

1 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to switch to the

disctitle list mode.

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-

sireddisc title of CD TEXT.

Turnto change the disc title; press to play.

#Youcan also change the disc title by pushing

MULTI-CONTROLup or down.

#Ifno title has been entered for a disc, No title

willbe displayed.

#Nodisc is displayed next to the disc number

whenthere is no disc in the magazine.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to switch

tothe track title list.

4 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-

siredtrack title.
