Theseare the basic steps necessar y to play a
CDwith your built-in CD player. More ad-
vancedCD operation is explained starting on
thenext page.
1Playtime indicator
Showsthe elapsed playing time of the cur-
renttrack.
2Tracknumber indicator
Showsthe track currently playing.
3Disctitle indicator
Showsthe title of the currently playing disc.
!Ifno title has been entered for the cur-
rentlyplaying disc, nothing is displayed.
1 PressSOURCE to select the built-in CD
player.
PressSOURCE until you see Compact Disc
displayed.
#Ifno disc is loaded in the unit, you cannot se-
lectCompact Disc (built-in CD player). Insert a
discin the unit. (Refer to page 13.)
2 Toperform fast forward or reverse,
pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
right.
#Ifyou select ROUGH, pushing and holding
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right enables you to
searchevery 10 tracks in the current disc.(Refer
toSelecting the search method on page 21.)
3 Toskip back or forward to another
track,push MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL right skips to the
startof the next track. Pushing
MULTI-CONTROLleft once skips to the start
ofthe current track. Pushing again will skip to
theprevious track.
Note
Whena disc is inserted, the disc and track titles
automaticallybegin to scroll in the display. When
EverScroll is set to ON at the initial setting, the
discand track titles scroll continuously. About
EverScroll, refer to Switching the Ever Scroll on
page60.
Selecting a track directly
Whenusing the remote control, you can select
atrack directly by entering the desired track
number.
1 PressDIRECT.
Tracknumber input display appears.
2 Press09 buttons to enter the desired
tracknumber.
#Youcan cancel the input number by pressing
CLEAR.
3 PressDIRECT.
Thetrack of entered number willplay.
Note
Afterentering the number input mode, if you do
notperform an operation within about eight sec-
onds,the mode is automatically canceled.
