Whenthe subwoofer output is on,you can ad-
justthe continuity of sound between speaker
units.
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select SW 3.
Thefunction name tag SW 3 is highlighted.

2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectslope.
Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL left or right
selectsslopes in the following order:
18126(dB/oct.)
Note
Whenslope of subwoofer and high pass filter are
-12dB,and same cut-off frequency, the phase is
reversed180 degrees at the cut-off frequency. In
thiscase, reversing the phase assures improved
soundcontinuity.
Using the high pass filter
Whenyou do not want low sounds fromthe
subwooferoutput frequency range to play
fromthe front or rear speakers, turn on the
HPF(high pass filter). Only frequencies higher
thanthose in the selected range are outputted
fromthe front or rear speakers.

Muting the speaker units (filters)

Youcan mute front and rear speaker units (fil-
ters)separately. When speaker units (filters)
aremuted, no sound is outputted from those
speakers.
!Ifyou mute the selected speaker unit (fil-
ter),MUTE is displayed and no adjust-
mentsare possible.
!Evenif any speaker unit (filter) is muted,
youcan adjust the parameters for other
speakerunits (filters).
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select F-HPF 1
(orR-HPF 1).
Thefunction name tag F-HPF 1 (or R-HPF 1)is
highlighted.
2 Pressand hold MULTI-CONTROL to
mutethe selected speaker unit (filter).
MUTEis displayed.
#Tocancel the muting, press MULTI-CONTROL
again.

Setting the high pass filter for

front speakers

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select F-HPF 1.
Thefunction name tag F-HPF 1 is highlighted.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectslope.
Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL left or right
selectsslopes in the following order:
126Pass(0) (dB/oct.)
#Ifyou set the slope to 0 dB/oct. (Pass), the
audiosignal bypasses the filter, so the filter does
nothave an effect.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select F-HPF 2.
