1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select AUX.

Thefunction name tag AUX is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn AUX on.

AUX:ON appears in the display.

#Toturn AUX off, press MULTI-CONTROL

again.

Switching the dimmer setting

Toprevent the display from being too bright at

night,the display is automatically dimmed

whenthe car s headlights are turned on. You

canturn the dimmer on or off.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select DIM.

Thefunction name tag DIM is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn dimmer

on.

Dimmer:ON appears in the display.

#Toturn dimmer off, press MULTI-CONTROL

again.

Adjusting the brightness

Displaybrightness adjustment lets you adjust

thedisplay for easier viewing whenlighting

conditionschange.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select BRIGHT.

Thefunction name tag BRIGHT is highlighted.

2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to

adjustthe brightness level.

Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL left or right

increasesor decreases the brightness level. 0

31is displayed as the level is increased or

decreased.

Correcting distorted sound

Whenlistening to a CD or other source on

whichthe recording level is high, setting the

equalizercurve level to high mayresult in dis-

tortion.You can switch the digital attenuator

tolow to reduce distortion.

!Soundquality is better at the high setting

sothis setting is usually used.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select D.ATT.

Thefunction name tag D.ATT is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select the di-

gitalattenuator level.

PressingMULTI-CONTROL repeatedly will

switchbetween High (high) and Low (low)

andthat status will be displayed.

Switching the soundmuting/attenuation

Soundfrom this system is muted or attenu-

atedautomatically when a call is made or re-

ceivedusing a cellular telephone connected to

thisunit.

!Thesound is turned off, MUTE is displayed

andno audio adjustments are possible.

!Thesound is attenuated, AT T isdisplayed

andno audio adjustments, except volume

control,are possible.

!Operationreturns to normal when the

phoneconnection is ended.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-

siredsetting.
