2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn ASL on.

ASLlevel (e.g., Mid-Low) appears in the dis-

play.

#Toturn ASL off, press MULTI-CONTROL

again.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to

selectthe desired ASL level.

Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL up or down

selectsASL level in the following order:

Low(low)Mid-Low (mid-low)Mid (mid)

Mid-High(mid-high)High (high)

Note

Whenthe ASL mode is turned on and exited, ASL

appearson the display of each source.

Adjusting source levels

SLA(source level adjustment) lets you adjust

thevolume level of each source to prevent ra-

dicalchanges in volume when switching be-

tweensources.

!Settingsare based on the FM tuner volume

level,which remains unchanged.

1 Comparethe FM tuner volume level

withthe level of the source you wish to ad-

just.

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select SLA.

Thefunction name tag SLA is highlighted.

#Whenselecting the FM tuner as the source,

youcannot switch to SLA.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to

adjustthe source volume.

Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL up or down

increasesor decreases the source volume.

+44is displayed as the source volume is

increasedor decreased.

Notes

!TheAM tuner volume level can also be ad-

justedwith source level adjustments.

!Thebuilt-in CD player and the multi-CD player

areset to the same source level adjustment

volumeautomatically.

!Externalunit 1 and external unit 2 are set to

thesame source level adjustment volume

automatically.

Auto TAand EQ (auto-timealignment and auto-equalizing)

Theauto-time alignment is automatically ad-

justedfor the distance between each speaker

andthe listening position.

Theauto-equalizer automatically measures

thecar interior acoustic characteristics, and

thencreates the auto-equalizer cur ve based

onthat information.

WARNING

Toprevent accidents, never carry out auto TA and

EQwhile driving. When this function measures

thecar interior acoustic characteristics to create

anauto-equalizer curve, a loud measurement

tone(noise) may be outputted from the speakers.

CAUTION

!Carryingout auto TA and EQ under the follow-

ingconditions may damage the speakers. Be

sureto check the conditions thoroughly be-

forecarrying out auto TA and EQ.

Whenspeakers are incorrectly connected.

(e.g.,When a rear speaker is connected to

asubwoofer output.)
