increasesor decreases the level of the equali-

zationband.

5 PressBAND/ESC to cancel the 13-band

graphicequalizer mode.

Using BBE sound

WithBBE, playback very closeto the original

soundcan be obtained by correction with a

combinationof phase compensation and

high-rangeboost for the delay of thehigh-fre-

quencycomponents and the amplitude devia-

tionoccurring during playback. This function

makesit possible to reproduce the dynamic

soundfield as if you are listening to a live per-

formance.

WithBBE sound processing technology, you

canadjust the level of BBE.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select BBE.

Thefunction name tag BBE is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn BBE on.

#Toturn BBE off, press MULTI-CONTROL

again.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to

adjustthe level of BBE.

Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL up or down

increasesor decreases the level of BBE.

Adjusting loudness

Loudnesscompensates for deficiencies in the

low-and high-sound ranges at low volume.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select LOUD.

Thefunction name tag LOUD is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn loudness

on.

LoudnessON appears in the display.

#Toturn loudness off, press MULTI-CONTROL

again.

Using automatic soundlevelizer

Duringdriving, noise in the car changes ac-

cordingto the driving speed and road condi-

tions.The automatic sound levelizer (ASL)

monitorssuch varying noiseand automati-

callyincreases the volume level, if this noise

becomesgreater. The sensitivity (variation of

volumelevel to noise level) of ASL can beset

toone of five levels.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select ASL.
