Tuningin strong signals

Localseek tuning lets you tune in only those

radiostations with sufficiently strong signals

forgood reception.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select LOCAL.

Thefunction name tag LOCAL is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn local

seektuning on.

Localseek sensitivity (e.g., Local 2) appears in

thedisplay.

#Toturn local seek tuning off, press

MULTI-CONTROLagain.

3 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to

setthe sensitivity.

Thereare four levels of sensitivity for FM and

twolevels for AM:

FM:Local 1Local 2Local 3Local 4

AM:Local 1Local 2

TheLocal 4 setting allows reception of only

thestrongest stations, while lower settings let

youreceive progressively weaker stations.

Storing the strongestbroadcast frequencies

BSM(best stations memory) letsyou automa-

ticallystore the six strongest broadcast fre-

quenciesunder preset tuning buttons 16and

oncestored there you can tune in to those fre-

quencieswith the touch of a button.

1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select BSM.

Thefunction name tag BSM is highlighted.

2 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn BSM on.

Searchingbegins to flash. While Searching is

flashingthe six strongest broadcast frequen-

cieswill be stored under preset tuning buttons

16inthe order of their signal strength. When

finished,the preset channel list appears.

#Tocancel the storage process, press

MULTI-CONTROL.

3 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-

siredstation.

Turnto change the station; press to select.

#Youcan also change the station by pushing

MULTI-CONTROLup or down.

Note

Storingbroadcast frequencies with BSM may re-

placebroadcast frequencies you have saved

usingbuttons 16.

Selecting stations from thepreset channel list

Thepreset channel list lets you see the list of

presetstations and select one of them to re-

ceive.

1 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to switch to the

presetchannel list mode.

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select the de-

siredstation.

Turnto change the station; press to select.

#Youcan also change the station by pushing

MULTI-CONTROLup or down.

#Tostore the currently received frequency in

memory,press and hold MULTI-CONTROL until

theselected preset number stops flashing.

#Toreturn to the frequency display, press

BAND/ESC.
