correctionis made to the sound. This is
usefulto check the effect of the equalizer
curvesby switching alternativelybetween
FLATand a set equalizer curve.
%PressEQ to select the equalizer.
PressEQ repeatedly to switch between the fol-
lowingequalizers:

Adjusting equalizer curves
Thefactory supplied equalizer curves,with the
exceptionof FLAT, can be adjusted to a fine
degree(nuance control).
1 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select G.EQ 1.
Thefunction name tag G.EQ 1 is highlighted.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectan equalizer curve.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
adjustthe equalizer curve.
Eachpushing MULTI-CONTROL up or down
increasesor decreases the equalizer cur ve re-
spectively.
+65(or 6) is displayed as the equalizer
curveis increased ordecreased.
#Theactual range of the adjustments are differ-
entdepending on which equalizer curve isse-
lected.
#Theequalizer curve with all frequencies set to
0cannotbe adjusted.
Adjusting 13-band graphicequalizer
For CUSTOM1and CUSTOM2 equalizer
curves,you can adjust thelevel of each band.
!Aseparate CUSTOM1 curve can be cre-
atedfor each source. (The built-in CD
playerand the multi-CD player are set to
thesame equalizer adjustment setting
automatically.)If you make adjustments
whena curve other than CUSTOM2is se-
lected,the equalizer curve settingswill be
memorizedin CUSTOM1.
!ACUSTOM2curve can becreated com-
monto all sources. If you make adjust-
mentswhen the CUSTOM2 curve is
selected,the CUSTOM2 curve will be up-
dated.
