Watching the TV tuner

Youcan use this unit to control a TV tuner,
whichis sold separately.
Fordetails concerning operation, refer to the
TVtuner s operation manuals. This section
providesinformation onTV operations with
thisunit which differs from that described in
theTV tuner s operation manual.
1Presetnumber indicator
Showswhich preset has been selected.
2Bandindicator
Showswhich band the TV tuner is tuned to.
3Channelindicator
Showswhich channel the TV tuner is tuned.
1 PressSOURCE to select the TV.
PressSOURCE until you see Television dis-
played.
2 PressBAND/ESC to select a band.
PressBAND/ESC until the desired band is dis-
played,TV1 or TV2.
3 Toperform manual tuning, push
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right.
Thechannels move up or down step by step.
4 Toperform seek tuning, push and hold
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right for about one
secondand release.
Thetuner will scan the channels untila broad-
caststrong enough for good reception is
found.
#Youcan cancel seek tuning by pushing
MULTI-CONTROLleft or right.
#Ifyou push and hold MULTI-CONTROL left or
rightyou can skip broadcasting channels. Seek
tuningstarts as soon as you release
MULTI-CONTROL.
Storing and recalling
broadcast stations
Ifyou press any of the presettuning buttons
16youcan easily store up to six broadcast
stationsfor later recall with the touch of a but-
ton.
%Whenyou find a station that you want
tostore in memory press one of preset tun-
ingbuttons 16 and hold until the preset
numberstops flashing.
Thenumber you have pressed willflash in the
presetnumber indicator and then remain lit.
Theselected station has been stored in mem-
ory.
Thenext time you press the same preset tun-
ingbutton the station is recalled from mem-
ory.
Notes
!Upto 12 stations, six for each of two TV bands
canbe stored in memory.
!Youcan recall preset channels P01P12 by
pushingMULTI-CONTROL up or down.
!Youcan also store the station in memory by
usingthe preset channel list. (Refer to Select-
ingstations from the preset channel list on the
nextpage.)
