PCL 5 Emulation Symbol Sets
The following PCL 5 emulation symbol sets are provided for the
PCL 5 fonts:
—Envelope printing is not suppor ted.
—Bitmap and scalable font cartridges are not supported per se.
However, the QMS 4525 incorporates the typefaces
supplied by the majority of H P bitmap font cartridges. A lso
Pseudo support for HP bitmap font cartridges is provided if
font selection is specified throug h the HP PCL 5 font
characteristic commands (as opposed to selecting the font
by cartridge identifier). Also, differences between jobs
printed on a LaserJet and jobs printed on a QMS 4525 may
result if the job selects a font that is not present o n the HP
printer (with 0 to 2 cartridges loaded) but is available on the
QMS 4525.
—Printer Job Language (PJL) is not supported.
