Does at least one paper input bin contain paper? If not,

Is there a media jam?
3 Is the printer receiving data from the computer?
Is the printer on line? Th e message display should display
IDLE, and the On indicator should be lit.
Has the interface port been set to a language or emulation
that does not match the file you are sending?
If you are using the serial interface, is the baud rate (speed of
data transmission) of the printer, the computer, and your
application software the same? Print a status page from the
control panel to check your printer setting.
If you still cannot identify the problem, contact QMS Cus-
tomer Technical Assurance.
4 Is the printer printing co des or not printing at all when in
ESP mode? If one of these things is happening, check the
following:
Reconfigure the port to t he specific printer language of the
file you are trying to print. See your system admi nistrator.
If a PostScript file prints PostScript language statements
while in ESP mode, increase the ESP timeout. (See the
Sys-tem Administrator's Guide
for instr uctions.)
If you continue to have problems with the ESP mode select-
ing a printer emulation, contact QMS Customer Technical
Assurance. See appendix A, “QMS Customer Support,” for
information on customer support.
