The system administrator chooses the default collation setting for all
print jobs via the Configuration menu. (See the system administrator's
guide for additional information.) The default collation setting is u sed
when collation is not spec ified first by the emulation (applicat ion or
printer language), or next by the DOC

collate

command (this includes
the network print commands). Some emulations are capable of speci-
fying collation through language specific mechanisms such as the
setcollate statusdict operators for level 1 or level 2. (See the system
administrator's guide for information o n this operator).
