Input channel

The MR-8HD/CD provides four input channels: [INPUT A], [INPUT B], [INPUT C] and [INPUT D]. Each channel provides both the XLR and 1/4" phone connectors.

•When you use the [INPUT A] channel, set the [INPUT A SELECT] switch on the rear panel appropriately.

•If you use a condenser microphone, use the XLR (balanced) connector. The MR-8HD/CD can supply the phantom power (see page 128).

	“MIC/LINE” position			Both the [BAL] XLR and [UNBAL/GUI-
				TAR] phone connectors can be used.
	INPUT A SEL
				Set the switch to this position when the
	GTR CLEAN		MIC/LINE	source is an external microphone or
		GTR DIST		line level source.
	“GTR DIST” position			Both the [BAL] XLR and [UNBAL/GUI-
				TAR] phone connectors can be used.
				You can adjust the input level and dis-
	INPUT A SEL			tortion using the [TRIM] and [DISTOR-
	GTR CLEAN		MIC/LINE	TION] controls respectively. You can
		GTR DIST		also use the amp simulation insert ef-
				fect.
“GTR CLEAN” position				Both the [BAL] XLR and [UNBAL/GUI-
				TAR] phone connectors can be used.
	INPUT A SEL			You can adjust the input level using the
	GTR CLEAN		MIC/LINE	[TRIM] control. You can also use the
		GTR DIST		amp simulation insert effect.
