Manual removal (emergency removal)

In the event of a power failure or damage to the drive it may be necessary to manually remov e t he
CD/DVD.
Ê Switch the notebook off.

Ê Press a pen or a piece of wire (e.g. a paperclip) firmly into the opening (1).
The drive tray is unlocked.
Ê Pull the drive tray all the way out (2).
Integrated 56k modem
The integrated 56k modem supports data communication applications, such as:

• Modem operation: High-speed downloads at up to 56,000 bit/s (V.90 / V.92).

• Fax mode: Transmitting and receiving at up to 14,400 bit/s

The modem has been inspected in agreement with the guideline TBR-21.
