CHAPTER 4: Upgrading Your Computer

3Remove the three screws that secure the power supply to your computer.

4Slide the power supply away from the back of your computer, then pull it down and remove it.

5Install the new power supply into the case, then install the three screws to secure the power supply to the case.

6Reconnect the power supply cables using your notes from Step 2.

7Replace the side panel by following the instructions in “Replacing the side panel” on page 33.

Replacing the heat sink and processor

Tools

You need a Phillips screwdriver to replace the heat sink.

To replace the heat sink and processor:

1Remove the side panel by following the instructions in “Removing the side panel” on page 31.
