Operation of all cooktop and oven burners should be checked after the range and gas supply lines have been carefully checked for leaks.

Select a top burner knob and simultaneously push
in and turn to lITe position. You will hear a clicking sound indicating proper operation of the spark module. Once the air has been purged from the supply lines, burners should light within 4 seconds. After burner lights, rotate knob out of the lITe position. Try each burner in succession until all burners have been checked.

The combustion quality of burner flames needs to be determined visually.

a.Remove oven bottom:
nRemove the 2 screws at the rear of the oven bottom.
nGrasp the oven bottom at slots on each side.
nLift the rear enough to clear the lip of the range frame, push it back, and then pull it up and out.

B. To operate the Bake burner, press the Bake pad and then press the number pads until 350 appears in the display. Press the Start/on pad. After 30 to 90 seconds, the burner will ignite.
Flames should be steady, approximately 1” blue cones and, if range is supplied with natural gas, should burn with no yellow tips. With most LP gas, small yellow tips at the end of outer gas cones are normal. The inner cone of the flame should be ½” to ¾” long for either gas.

If burner flames look like (a), call for service. Normal burner flames should look like (B) or (C), depending on the type of gas you use.
With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones is normal.
C. Perform the same check on the broil burner by touching the Broil Hi/lo pad and then the Start/on pad.
