To load 35 mm slides

Note The HP All-in-One does not support scanning negative film that is mounted as a slide in plastic or cardboard.

1.Raise the lid and remove the Slide and Negative Film holder and the lid backing. Set the lid backing aside where it will not get damaged or dirty.

2.Unfold the holder so that the half with four slide openings is on top.

3.Place the holder on the glass and match the bottom edge with the bottom edge of the glass. Then, match the right tab on the top half of the holder with the right edge of the glass.

4.Place the slide on the holder so that the front of the image faces down and appears backward. Gently press down until it snaps into place.

Note The slide must snap into place for the image to scan properly. If the slide does not touch the glass the final scanned image might be blurry.

Tip If the slide does not snap into place easily, try rotating it 180 degrees. Some slides have a gap on one side that prevents them from fitting properly.
