Supplying Power to the Unit
After installing the base unit and any option modules, the ProCurve Secure Router is ready to be powered- up. To power the unit, ensure that the unit is properly connected to an appropriate power source (see the sections below).
The ProCurve Secure Router comes equipped with an
•ProCurve Secure Router 7102dl: 100 to 127 VAC, 0.4 A/200 to 240 VAC, 0.2 A, 50 to 60 Hz
•ProCurve Secure Router 7203dl: 100 to 127 VAC, 0.8 A/200 to 240 VAC, 0.4 A, 50 to 60 Hz

Caution Maximum recommended ambient operating temperature is 50°C (122°F).
Supplying Redundant Power to the Unit
A redundant power supply (RPS) is only available with the ProCurve Secure Router 7203dl. Follow these instructions when connecting the RPS.
Instructions for Connecting the RPS
1Remove the blank cover plate from the RPS slot on the back of the ProCurve Secure Router 7203dl.
2Plug the RPS power cable (with the HP logo on the connector facing up) into this slot. (The RPS power cable comes attached to the HP 600 RPS/EPS. The cable is 1.25 meters [4.1 feet] long.) For more information about connecting the RPS, refer to the ProCurve 600 Redundant and External Power Supply Installation and Getting Started Guide.
3Secure the screws.
Your ProCurve Secure Router is now ready to be configured and connected to the network. For more information on configuring a specific application, refer to the quick configuration documents provided on your ProCurve SROS Documentation CD. For details on the CLI, refer to the SROS Command Line Interface Reference Guide (also included on your CD).
