To install the black toner cartridge
1Remove the black toner cartridge from its packaging and gently rock the cartridge several times to distribute the toner.
C a u t i o n
Do not lift or remove the shutter (A) on the cartridge.
2Align the arrow on the top of the cartridge with the arrow at the top of the slot in the printer and slide the cartridge into the printer.
3Place one hand on the cartridge and use the other hand to pull the orange ring and remove the seal. Discard the seal.
N o t e
If toner gets on fabric, wipe the toner off with a dry cloth and then wash the clothing in cold water. Warm water or the heat of a dryer will set toner into fabric.
4Swing the upper (blue) lever back to the left.
N o t e
If the lever does not return to its original position, make sure that the black toner cartridge and the imaging drum are all the way in the printer and that the orange seal was removed from the toner cartridge.
