Note:IfthetestshowsthattheHDDActiveP rotectionSystemisnotfunctioning,besuretodocumentthe
dropinar ejectreport,andreplacethesystemboard.
Avoidroughhandlingofanykind.
Ateverypointintheprocess,besurenottodroporstackthesystemboard.
Ifyouputasystemboarddown,besuretoputitonlyonapaddedsurfacesuchasanESDmatora
corrugatedconductivesurface.
Afterreplacingthesystemboard,runPC-DoctorforDOStomakesurethattheHDDActivePr otection
Systemstillfunctions.Theprocedureisasfollows:
1.Placethecomputeronahorizontalsurface.
2.RunDiagnosticsThinkPadDevicesHDDActiveProtectionTest.
Attention:Donotapplyphysicalshocktothecomputerwhilethetestisrunning.
