OCPRF100 MP Server System Technical Product Specification

Revision 1.0

cifically, this bus connects the FPC and BMC. Also, there may be an SMM based device on the bus and a cluster card connector based device.

On the FPC, this bus consists of the I2C_BACKUP_SCL and the I2C_BACKUP_SDA signals.

10.2.12.3 I2C Development Support Jumpers

Development support jumpers on the I2C buses are provided to isolate I2C devices. These jumpers must first be enabled by removing Resistor Pack RP3A4 and RP3A5 and adding all J3 jump-

ers. Once enabled, specific I2C devices/sections can be isolated by removing the jumpers.

In production, the jumper blocks are not stuffed.

10.2.13 Miscellaneous

10.2.13.1 Signal RESET_OUTPUTS_L

The RESET_OUTPUTS_L signal is used to enable the output latch. Immediately after the micro- controller comes out of a hard reset, this signal goes to the deasserted (high) state. In this state, the output latch is output disabled, but retains any states written to it. The microcontroller initializes the latch with proper values before the RESET_OUTPUTS_L signal is asserted (low).
