7Select the output channel.
Your selection depends on how the cable box and/or DBS receiver
is connected to your unit.
●If the cable box or DBS receiver is connected to your unit’s
ANTENNA IN connector on the rear panel, press rt to select the
channel number representing the cable box’s output (CH2 – CH9),
then press ENTER.
●If the cable box or DBS receiver is connected to your unit’s
AUDIO/VIDEO Input connectors on the front panel, press rt to
select “F-1”, then press ENTER.
●If the cable box or DBS receiver is connected to your unit’s
AUDIO/VIDEO INPUT connectors on the rear panel, press rt to
select “L-1” or “L-2”, then press ENTER.
●If you do not use a cable box or DBS receiver, press rt to select
“OFF”, then press ENTER.
8Press rt to select “CABLE BOX BRAND” or “DBS RECEIVER
BRAND”, then press ENTER. Press rt to select the brand code
from the following list, then press ENTER.
9Press rt to select “TEST MODE”, then press ENTER.
8For cable box
If the cable box’s channel changes to 9, setting is complete.
Press ENTER and “CABLE BOX
CONTROL IS ON” appears on the
screen for about 5 seconds, then
the screen in step 5 appears.
If the cable box’s channel does
not change to 9;
APress we to select “NO”, then
press ENTER.
BRepeat steps 8 – 9 until the cable box’s channel changes to 9
by entering another code.
CIf the channel does not change after going through all the code
numbers listed for your model of cable box, then try all the other
numbers.
8For DBS receiver
If the DBS receiver’s channel
changes to the channel listed
below for your brand, setting is
complete.
Press ENTER and “DBS
RECEIVER CONTROL IS ON”
appears on the screen for about 5
seconds, then press ENTER. The
screen in step 5 appears.
If the DBS receiver’s channel does not change as shown
above;
APress we to select “NO”, then press ENTER.
BRepeat steps 8 – 9.
NOTES:
●The Controller may not work with all types of cable box or DBS
receiver.
●If your cable box does not respond to any code between 1 and 28,
you cannot use the Controller to change cable box channels. In this
case, make sure to leave the cable box turned on and tuned to the
proper channel before the scheduled start time of timer recording.
Contact your cable company about the possibility of exchanging your
current cable box with the one compatible with your unit.
●If your DBS receiver does not respond to the code, you cannot use
the Controller to change satellite channels. In this case, make sure to
leave the DBS receiver turned on and tuned to the proper channel
before the scheduled start time of timer recording.
●The unit can only change the cable box or satellite channel through
the Controller during timer recording.
●If your cable box and/or DBS receiver cannot be operated with a
remote control (because it has no receiving window), you cannot use
the Controller to change its channels. Make sure to leave the cable
box and/or DBS receiver turned on and tuned to the proper channel
before the scheduled start time of timer recording.
●If the unit’s memory backup expires because of a power failure, set
the cable box and/or DBS receiver output channels and brands
again.
