ADJUSTMENT

Youmay feel that yournew oven
cooksdifferently thanthe oven it
replaced.We recommendthatyou
useyournew ovena few weeks to
becomemore familiar withit, following
thetimesgiven in yourrecipes as e
guide.
Ifyou thinkyour newoven istoo hot
(burningfoods) or nothotenough
(foodsare undercooked),youcan
adjustthetemperatureyourself.The
appearance end textureoffoods is a
betterindicator of ovenaccuracy than
anoven thermometer,These
thermometerscan varyby 20-40
degreesfrom the true temperatureof
theoven. In addition,theoven door
mustbe opened to read these
thermometers.Openingthedoorwill
changethe temperatureofthe oven.
To decidehow muchto change
thetemperature,setthe oven
temperature25degrees higher
(iffoods are undercooked)or
25 degreeslower (if foods are
burning) thanthe temperatureinyour
recipe,then bake. The resultsofthis
"test" shouldgiveyou an ideaof how
muchthe temperatureshouldbe
changed.
1. Pressand hold,at the same
tim, the HOUR UP and DOWN
arrowpads untilthedisplay
showsa two-digitnumber.
2. PresstheHOUR UP arrowpad to
increasethetemperature up to
+35°F hotte_
or
PresstheHOUR DOWN arrow
pad to decrease the temperature
downto -35°F cooler,
3. Whenthis adjustment hasbeen
made, the display willreturnto the
time of da_
ThisadjustmentwLIIremain inmemory
untilthesestepsare repeated and a
newtemperatureis selected.It will
remainin memoryeven after e power
failure.
Thisadjustment willnot affect the Broil
