Beforeyoustart,printtheseinstructions.
Youcanreplacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrivewithanewonewhichcanbepurchasedfromyour
Lenovoreselleroramarketingrepresentative.Readthefollowingprerequisitesbeforeyoureplacethe
harddiskdrive.
Note:Replacetheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedriveonlyifyouupgradeitorhaveitr epaired.Theconnectors
andslotoftheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrivewerenotdesignedforfrequentchanges,ordriveswapping.
Prerequisitesfortheprocedure
Whenreplacingthedrive,besuretofollowtheprecautions.
Attention:
•Donotdroptheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive,orsubjectittophysicalshocks.Putthedriveona
material,suchassoftcloth,thatabsorbsanyphysicalshocks.
•Donotapplypressuretothecoverofthedrive.
•Donottouchtheconnector.
Thedriveisverysensitive.Incorrecthandlingcancausedamageandpermanentlossofdata.
Beforeremovingtheharddiskdriveorsolidstatedrive,makeabackupcopyofalltheinformationonit,
andthenturnthecomputeroff.
Neverremovethedrivewhilethesystemisoper ating,insleepmode,orinhibernationmode.
Replacingtheharddiskdrive
Toreplacetheharddiskdrive,dothefollowing:
1.EnterThinkP adSetuptostopbatterydischarge.RefertoBeforereplacingCRUfordetailedinstruction.
2.Closethecomputerdisplay,andturnthecomputerover.
3.Loosenthescrew1,thenipoutthecover2andpulluptoremoveit3.
4.Slidethetaboutandremovetheharddiskdrivebypullingoutthetab.
