Subnet Configuration
The Subnet Configuration screen allows you to specify an IP interface for any VLAN configured on this Switch that needs to communicate with a device outside of its own group (that is, another network segment).

Modify Subnet
The Modify Subnet screen allows you to modify an IP interface.
•IP Address - The IP address associated with the specified VLAN interface. By convention, the last three digits should be set to “254” to readily distin- guish this device as a router port. To modify this IP interface, select it and press Enter.
•Subnet Mask - A template that identifies the address bits in the host address used for routing to specific subnets. Each bit that corresponds to a “1” is part of the network/subnet number, and each bit that corresponds to “0” is part of the host number.
•VLAN - The VLAN associated with this IP interface.
•RIP - Routing Information Protocol for unicast routing.
•OSPF - Open Shortest Path First routing protocol.

•Status - Status of the VLAN IP.
Select Apply to make changes. Select OK to return to the previous panel. Select Cancel to cancel any changes. Select Prev Page to view the previous page. Select Next Page to view the next page. To display a specific page, set the page number in the Page field and then press Apply. Select Add to add an IP interface.

•Proxy ARP - Enable or disable the Proxy Address Resolution Protocol.
•RIP - Enable or disable the Routing Information Protocol for unicast routing. Select Advanced to make more changes.
