For example, for DHCP, the router issues a request for a new IP address from the ISP’s DHCP server.

IP Address
Subnet Mask
Provides current information about the connection status of the router. Press Refresh to update the status of the router.
Displays the router’s IP Address used to connect to your ISP. It is either automatically displayed or manually entered from information provided by your ISP.
For example, if DHCP is selected, this is the IP Address that your router is currently using to access the Internet. If using Static Assigned, then you would enter the IP Address here.
