SCSISelect Utility

The SCSISelect Utility detects the SCSI host adapters on the system I/O board and on option SCSI controller boards.

The SCSISelect Utility is used mainly to set the transfer rate of connected SCSI device. Use the SCSISelect Utility to:

!Change default values

!Check and/or change SCSI device settings that may conflict with those of other devices in the server

Running the SCSISelect Utility

You access the Adaptec SCSI Utility when you turn on or reboot your system. To run the Adaptec SCSI utility, perform the following procedure:

1.Power-on or reboot the system.

2.The following message appears on the video monitor: Press Ctrl-A for SCSISelect (TM) Utility!...

3.Press Ctrl+A to run this utility. When its Main menu appears, choose the host adapter that you want to configure.

4.The SCSI utility starts. When the SCSISelect Utility detects more than one AIC-78xx host adapter (see Figure 3-1), it displays a selection menu listing the bus and device number of each adapter. When the selection menu appears, select the channel you wish to configure as follows:
