Removing the Top Cover

You must first remove the top cover of the tower cabinet (if tower-based system), the front bezel of the BSU, and front and rear fan modules of the BSU in order to remove the top cover of the BSU. See Removing the Top Cover of the Tower Cabinet, Removing the Front Bezel, and Removing the Front and Rear Fan Modules sections in this chapter.

To remove the top cover, perform the following.

1.Power off the system and remove the front bezel as described earlier in this chapter.

2.Remove the front and rear fan modules as described earlier in this chapter.

3.Pull the top cover slightly forward until its hooks are disengaged from the chassis. See Figure 4-6.

4.Remove the top cover by lifting the rear end of the cover and pulling it out. See Figure 4-7.
