iGAME button (61)

Selects the listening modes intended for use with video games.

jDIMMER button (51)

Adjusts the display brightness.

kMEMORY button (56)

Used when storing or deleting radio presets.

lTUNING MODE button (54)

Selects the Auto or Manual tuning mode for AM and FM radio.

mDISPLAY button (50)

Displays various information about the currently selected input source.

nSETUP button

Opens and closes the setup menus.

oTUNING, PRESET, Arrow, and ENTER buttons

When AM or FM is selected, the TUNING [q]/[w] buttons are used for radio tuning, and the PRESET [e]/[r] buttons are used to select radio presets (see pages 54, 56). With the setup menus, they work as arrow buttons and are used to select and set items.

The [ENTER] button is also used with the setup menus.

pRETURN button

Selects the previously displayed setup menu.

qMASTER VOLUME control (49)

Sets the volume of the AV receiver to Min, 1 through 79, or Max.

rPHONES jack (51)

This 1/4-inch phone jack is for connecting a standard pair of stereo headphones for private listening.

sMUSIC OPTIMIZER button (52) (North American models)

Turns the Music Optimizer on or off.

tPURE AUDIO button and indicator (61) (Asian models)

Selects the Pure Audio listening mode. The indicator lights up when this mode is selected. Pressing this button again selects the previous listening mode.

uInput selector buttons (49)

Select the following input sources: DVD/BD, VCR/DVR, CBL/SAT, AUX, TV/TAPE, TUNER, CD, PORT.

vAUX INPUT (34, 60)

Used to connect a camcorder, game console, and so on. There are input jacks for composite video and analog audio.

PORTABLE (34):

Used to connect a portable Audio Player.

wSETUP MIC (46)

The Audyssey 2EQ™ Room Correction and Speaker Setup microphone connects here.

aSLEEP indicator (51)

Lights up when the Sleep function has been set.

bMUTING indicator (51)

Flashes while the AV receiver is muted.

cListening mode and format indicators (61)

Show the selected listening mode and audio input signal format.

dTuning indicators (54) FM STEREO (54):

Lights up when tuned to a stereo FM station.

AUTO (54):

Lights up when Auto Tuning mode is selected for AM or FM radio. Goes off when Manual Tuning mode is selected.

TUNED (54):

Lights up when tuned to a radio station.

eMessage area

Displays various information.

fAudio input indicators

Indicate the type of audio input that’s selected as the audio source: PCM, MULTI CH, or HDMI.

gAudyssey indicator (47, 70)

Flashes during Audyssey 2EQ™ Room Correction and Speaker Setup. Lights up when the “Equalizer Settings” is set to “Audyssey”.
