Controlling the AV receiver
To control the AV receiver, press the [RECEIVER] button to select Receiver mode.
You can also use the remote controller to control your DVD/BD player, CD player, and other components. See page 84 for more details.

aON/STANDBY button (40)
Sets the AV receiver to On or Standby.
bREMOTE MODE/INPUT SELECTOR buttons (49, 58,
Selects the remote controller modes and the input sources.
cArrow [q]/[w]/[e]/[r] and ENTER buttons
Used to select and adjust settings.
dSETUP button
Used to change settings.
eLISTENING MODE buttons (61)
Used to select the listening modes.
fDIMMER button (51)
Adjusts the display brightness.
gDISPLAY button (50)
Displays information about the current input source.
hMUTING button (51)
Mutes or unmutes the AV receiver.
iVOL [q]/[w] button (49)
Adjusts the volume of the AV receiver regardless of the currently selected remote controller mode.
jRETURN button
Returns to the previous display when changing settings.
kAUDIO button (73)
Used to change audio settings.
When the “AudioTVOut” setting is set to “On” (page 78), this button is disabled.
lSLEEP button (51)
Used with the Sleep function.
■Controlling the tuner
To control the AV receiver’s tuner, press the [TUNER] (or [RECEIVER]) button.
You can select AM or FM by pressing the [TUNER] button repeatedly.
1Arrow [q]/[w] buttons
Used to tune into radio stations.
2D.TUN button (55)
Selects the Direct tuning mode.
3DISPLAY button (55)
Displays information about the band, frequency, preset number, and so on.
4CH +/– button (56)
Selects radio presets.
5Number buttons (55)
Used to select radio stations directly in the Direct tuning mode. Also you can select a preset directly.
*To control component, you must first enter remote control code.

Note:
An Onkyo cassette recorder connected via ucan also be controlled in Receiver mode (see page 92).
