Enabling digital CD audio

In order to listen to CDs in your computer’s CD-ROM drive via USB, you must enable digital CD audio for your CD-ROM drive as fol- lows.

Windows 98/98SE

1Open the Multimedia control panel and click the CD Music tab.2Select the “Default CD-ROM drive for playing CD music.”3Turn on “Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device.”4Click OK to close the control panel.

Windows 2000/Me

1Open the System control panel.

2If you are using Windows 2000, click the Hardware tab, and then click the Device Manager. If you are using Windows Me, click the Device manager tab.

3Select your CD-ROM drive from the list, and then click the Properties button.

4Click the Properties tab, and then turn on “Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device.”

5Click OK to close the window, and then close the System control panel.

Note that if the CR-N1 has not been rec- ognized successfully by your PC, or your CD-ROM drive does not support digital audio output, you will not be able to turn on “Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device.”
