5. Duplex Ring

5.1Using with the ring detection feature

When you subscribe to a duplex ring service, your telephone company will assign you a new fax number and will also tell you the assigned ring pattern. Please complete the following setup on your fax machine to identify the assigned ring pattern.



{MENU}		{SET}

{A}{B}

1Press {MENU}.

2Press {#} then {3}{1}.

3Press {A} or {B} to select “ON”.

4Press {SET}.

5Press {MENU}.

Note:

LOnce you have programmed the assigned ring pattern into the fax machine, turn AUTO

ANSWER ON.

LThe fax machine will recognize incoming faxes on the second ring pattern and answer automatically. For phone calls, the fax machine will ring as a normal call.
