!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you turn the nonfading output
(referto Using nonfading output on page 36)
orsubwoofer output (refer to Using subwoofer
outputon page 35) in the audio menu on.
!Ifyou change the subwoofer controller, sub-
wooferoutput and nonfading output in the
audiomenu return to the factory settings.
Correcting distorted sound
Youcan minimize distortion that may be
causedby the equalizer curve settings.
Settingan equalizer level high can cause dis-
tortion.If high sound is crippled ordistorted,
tryswitching to LOW. Normally, leave the set-
tingat HIGH to ensure quality sound.
!Onlywhen the multi-channel processor
(e.g.,DEQ-P7650) is connected to this unit,
youcan operate this function.

2 TouchD. ATT to switch the digital at-
tenuatorsetting.
TouchingD. ATT switches the digital attenua-
torsettings in the following order:
HIGH—LOW
Switching the sound muting/attenuation
Soundfrom this system is muted or attenu-
atedautomatically when the signal from the
equipmentwith mute function is received.

2 TouchTEL/GUIDE to select any of the
muting,attenuation or off.
TouchTEL/GUIDE until the desired setting ap-
pearsin the display.

Resetting the audio functions
Youcan reset all audio functions except vo-
lume.

2 TouchRESET.
3 TouchRESET.
4 TouchRESET again to reset audio func-
tions.
#Tocancel resetting the audio functions, touch
CANCEL.
Setting the TV signal
Whenthis unit is connected to a TV tuner, you
needto adjust the TV signal suitable to your
countryTV signal setting.
!Thisfunction is initially set to AUTO so that
thisunit automatically adjusts the TV signal
setting.
