Changing the viewing angleduring playback (Multi-angle)
WithDVDs featuring multi-angle (scenes shot
frommultiple angles) recordings, you can
switchamong viewing angles during play-
back.
!Thisfunction is available for DVD.
!Duringplayback of a scene shot frommul-
tipleangles, the angle icon isdis-
played.Turn angle icon display on or off
usingDVD SETUP. For details, refer to Set-
tingthe angle icon display on page 39.
1 Touchduntil ANGLE appears in the
display.
2 TouchANGLE during playback of a
sceneshot from multiple angles.
Eachtime you touch ANGLE it switches be-
tweenangles.

markon a DVDs package indicates it
featuresmulti-angle scenes. The number in
the

markindicates the number of angles
fromwhich scenes were shot.
!TouchingANGLE during fast forward/fast re-
verse,pause or slow motion playback returns
youto normal playback.
Stopping playback
%Touchg.
#Whenyou stop disc playback by touching g,
thatlocation on the disc is memorized, enabling
playbackfrom that point when you play the disc
again.
#Toplay back the disc again, touch f.
Pausing disc playback
Pauselets you temporarily stop disc playback.
%Touchfduring playback.
Theicon eis displayed and playback is
paused,letting you view a still image.
#Toresume playback at the same point that you
turnedpause on, touch fagain.
Note
Dependingon the disc and the playback location
onthe disc, the icon maybe displayed, indicat-
ingthat still playback is not possible.
Frame-by-frame playback
Thislets you move ahead one frame at a time
duringplayback.
!Thisfunction is available for DVD and
VideoCD.
%Touchrduring playback.
Eachtime you touch r, you move ahead one
frame.
#Toreturn to normal playback, touch f.
