Introduction of audio adjustments

1Audiodisplay
Showsthe audio adjustment status.
Important
Ifthe multi-channel processor (DEQ-P7650) is
connectedto this unit, the audio function will be
changedto the multi-channel processors audio
menu.For details, refer to Introduction of DSPad-
justmentson page 58.
1 PressA.MENU button to display MENU.
MENUappears on the display.
2 TouchAUDIO to display the audio func-
tionnames.
Theaudio function names are displayed and
operableones are highlighted.
#Togo to the next group of function names,
touchNEXT.
#Toreturn to the previous group of function
names,touch PREV.
#IfEQ-EX function has been selected and only
whenEQ-EX is turned on and CUSTOM is se-
lectedas the equalizer curve, you can switch to
BASSand TREBLE.
#Onlywhen the subwoofer controller setting is
FULL,NONFADING will be displayed instead of
SUBWOOFER. (Refer to Setting the rear output
andsubwoofer controller on page 43.)
#Whenselecting the FM as the source, you
cannotswitch to SLA.
#Toreturn to the previous display, touch BACK.
#Toreturn to the display of each source, touch
ESC.
Note
Ifyou do not operate the audio function within
about30 seconds, the display is automatically re-
turnedto the source display.

Using balance adjustment

Youcan change the fader/balance setting so
thatit can provide you an ideal listening envir-
onmentin all occupied seats.
1 TouchFAD/BAL on the audio function
menu.
#Whenthe rear output setting is SUB. W,BAL
willbe displayed instead of FAD/BAL. Refer to
Settingthe rear output and subwoofer controller
onpage 43.
2 Touchaor bto adjust front/rear
speakerbalance.
Eachtime you touch aor bit moves the
front/rearspeaker balance towards the front or
therear.
FRONT:15to REAR:15 is displayed as the
front/rearspeaker balance moves from front to
rear.
#FR:00is the proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
#Whenthe rear output setting is SUB. W, you
cannotadjust front/rear speaker balance. Refer to
Settingthe rear output and subwoofer controller
onpage 43.
3 Touchcor dto adjust left/right speak-
erbalance.
Eachtime you touch cor dit moves the left/
rightspeaker balance towards the left or the
right.
LEFT:09to RIGHT:09 is displayed as the left/
rightspeaker balance moves from left to right.
