1 Inserta disc into the disc loading slot.

Playbackwill automatically start.

!Whenthe automatic playback function is

on,this unit will cancel the DVD menu and

automaticallystart playback from the first

chapterof the first title. Refer to Automatic

playbackof DVDs on page 28.

#Besure to turn up the label side of adisc.

#Withsome DVD discs, a menu may be dis-

played.(Refer to Operating the DVD menu on the

nextpage.)

#Witha Video CD featuring the PBC (playback

control)function, a menu is displayed.

#Aftera disc has been inserted, use touch

panelkeys to select the DVD player.

#Toeject a disc, press EJECT.

2 Touchthe screen to display the touch

panelkeys.

3 Whenplaying Video CD, touch 10key

andthen touch 0 to 9 to select the desired

menuitem.

Playbackstarts from the selected menu item.

#Dependingon the discs, the menu may be

twoor more pages long. In such case, touch o

orpto display the next or previous menu.

#Youcan display the menu by pressing

RETURNduring PBC playback. For details, refer

tothe instructions provided with the disc.

4 Whenplaying compressed audio, touch

atrack title on the list to select atrack.

Theselected track will begin to play.

#Whenthe list of titles is not displayed, touch

LIST.

#Togo to the next group of list titles, touch .

#Toreturn to the previous group of list titles,

touch .

#Toselect a folder,touch toshow the folder

onelevel higher and touch a folder name on the

list.
