Handling guideline of discsand player

!Useonly conventional, fully circular discs.

Donot use shaped discs.

!Donot use cracked, chipped, warped, or

otherwisedamaged discs as they may da-

magethe player.

!Donot touch the recorded sur face of the

discs.

!Storediscs in their cases when not in use.

!Avoidleaving discs in excessively hot envir-

onmentsincluding under direct sunlight.

!Donot attach labels, write on or apply che-

micalsto the surface of the discs.

!Toclean a disc, wipe the disc with a soft

clothoutward from the center.

!Condensationmay temporarily impair the

player’s performance. Leave it to adjust to

thewarmer temperature for about one

hour.Also, wipe any dump discs with a soft

cloth.

!Roadshocks may interrupt disc playback.

!Readthe precautions with discs before

usingthem.

DVD discs

!Withsome DVD video discs, it may not be

possibleto use certain functions.

!Itmay not be possible to play back some

DVDvideo discs.

!WhenDVD-R/DVD-RW discs are used,

playbackis possible only for discs which

havebeen finalized.

!WhenDVD-R/DVD-RW discs are used,

playbackis possible only for discs which

havebeen recorded with the Video format

(videomode). It is not possible to play back

DVD-RWdiscs which have been recorded

withthe Video Recording format (VR

mode).

!Itmay not be possible to play back DVD-R/

DVD-RWdiscs which have been recorded

withthe Video format (video mode), be-

causeof disc characteristics, scratches or

dirton the disc, or dirt, condensation, etc.

onthe lens of this unit.

!Itis not possible to play back DVD-ROM/

DVD-RAMdiscs.

!Playbackof discs may not be possible be-

causeof disc characteristics, disc format,

recordedapplication, playback environ-

ment,storage conditions and so on.

AVCHD recordeddiscs

!Thisunit is not compatible with discs re-

cordedin AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec

HighDefinition) format. Do not insert

AVCHDdiscs. If inserted, the disc may not

beejected.

CD-R/CD-RW discs

!WhenCD-R/CD-RW discs are used, play-

backis possible only for discs which have

beenfinalized.

!Itmay not be possible to play back CD-R/

CD-RWdiscs recorded on a music CD re-

corderor a personal computer because of

disccharacteristics, scratches or dirt on

thedisc, or dirt, condensation, etc., on the

lensof this unit.
