Pressh(eject).
%Selectinga folder
PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down.
#Youcannot select a folder that does not have
acompressed audio file recorded in it.
%Selectinga track
PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right.
%Fastforwarding or reversing
Pushand hold MULTI-CONTROL left or right.
#Whenplaying compressed audio, there is no
soundon fast forward or reverse.
%Returningto root folder
Pressand hold BAND/ESC.
#Iffolder 01 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 02.
%Switchingbetween compressed audio
andCD-DA
PressBAND/ESC.
#Thisoperation is available only when playing
CD-EXTRAor MIXED-MODE CDs.
#Ifyou have switched between compressed
audioand CD-DA, playback starts at the first
trackon the disc.

andcompressed audio recorded on a CD-

!Readthe precautions for the player and discs

!Adisc has already been inserted, press
SRC/OFFto select the built-in CD player.
!Thereis sometimes a delay between starting
updisc playback and the sound being issued.
Whenbeing read, FORMAT READ is dis-
played.
!Ifan error message is displayed, refer to Error
messageson page 57.
!Playbackis carried out in order of file number.
Foldersare skipped if they contain no files. (If
folder01 (ROOT) contains no files, playback
commenceswith folder 02.)
!Youcan eject the CD by pressing and holding
h(eject)with eject position when the CD
loadingor ejecting cannot operate properly.
