1 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the
mainmenu.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select
FUNCTION.
Turnto change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.
Thefunction menu is displayed.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select the
function.
REPEAT(repeat play)—RANDOM (random
play)—SCAN(scan play)—PAUSE (pause)—
S.RTRV(advanced sound retriever)—

Notes
!Toreturn to the ordinary display, press
BAND/ESC.
!Ifyou do not operate functions except for
TITLEINPUT within about 30 seconds, the dis-
playautomatically returns to the ordinary dis-
play.
!Whenplaying a compressed audio disc or CD
TEXTdisc, you cannot switch to disc title input
display.

3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to select the re-
peatrange.
!DISC–Repeat all tracks
!TRACK–Repeat the current track
!FOLDER–Repeat the current folder
#Ifyou select another folder during repeat play,
therepeat play range changes to disc repeat.
#Performingtrack search or fast forward/re-
verseduring TRACK (track repeat) changes the
repeatplay range to disc/folder.
#WhenFOLDER (folder repeat) is selected, it is
notpossible to play back a subfolder of that
folder.
Playing tracks in random order
Tracksin a selected repeat range are played in
randomorder.
%Press /iPodto turn random play on.
Tracksplay in a random order.
#Toturn random play off, press /iPodagain.
Note
Youcan also turn this function on or off in the
menuthat appears by using
MULTI-CONTROL.
Scanning folders and tracks
Scanplay searches the song within the se-
lectedrepeat range.
1 Displaythe function menu.

thefunction menu.
3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to turn scan play
on.
Thefirst 10 seconds of each track is played.
4 Whenyou find the desired track press
MULTI-CONTROLto turn scan play off.
#Ifthe display has automatically returned to
theplayback display, select SCAN again by using
MULTI-CONTROL.
#Afterscanning of a disc (folder) is finished,
normalplayback of the tracks begins.
