Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached from the
headunit within four seconds of turning off
theignition, a warning tone sounds. You can
turnoff the warning tone.

Setting the rear output andsubwoofer output
Thisunits rear output (rear speaker leads out-
putand RCA rear output) can be used for full-
rangespeaker (Rear SP:REAR) or subwoofer
(RearSP :SUB W)connection. If you switch
therear output setting to Rear SP:SUB W, you
canconnect a rear speaker lead directly to a
subwooferwithout using an auxiliar y amp.
Initially,the unit is set for rear full-range speak-
erconnection (Rear SP:REAR).

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select REAR SP
inthe initial setting menu.
3 PressMULTI-CONTROL to switch the
rearoutput setting.
PressingMULTI-CONTROL will switch be-
tweenRear SP:REAR (full-range speaker) and
RearSP :SUB W(subwoofer) and that status
willbe displayed.
#Whenno subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select Rear SP :REAR (full-range speaker).
#Whena subwoofer is connected to the rear
output,select Rear SP:SUB W (subwoofer).

!Evenif you change this setting, there is no
outputunless you turn the subwoofer output
on(refer to Using subwoofer output on page
40).
!Ifyou change this setting, subwoofer output
inthe audio menu will return to the factory
settings.
!Bothrear speaker lead outputs and RCA rear
outputare switched simultaneously in this
setting.
