Using the AUX source
Upto two auxiliary devices such as VCR or
portabledevices (sold separately) can be con-
nectedto this unit. When connected, auxiliary
devicesare automatically read as AUX sources
andassigned to AUX1 (auxiliary device 1)or
AUX2(auxiliary device 2).The relationship be-
tweenAUX1 (auxiliary device 1) and AUX2
(auxiliarydevice 2) sources is explained below.

About AUX1 (auxiliary device 1)

and AUX2 (auxiliary device 2)

Thereare two methods to connect auxiliar y de-
vicesto this unit.

AUX1 (auxiliary device 1) source:

Whenconnecting auxiliar y device using aster eo
miniplug cable
%Insertthe stereo mini plug into the
inputjack on this unit.

Thisauxiliary device is automatically setto
AUX1(auxiliary device 1).

AUX2 (auxiliary device 2) source:

Whenconnecting auxiliar y device using an IP-
BUS-RCAInterconnector (sold separately)
%Usean IP-BUS-RCA Interconnector such
asthe CD-RB20/CD-RB10 (sold separately)
toconnect this unit to auxiliary device fea-
turingRCA output.
Formore details, refer to the IP-BUS-RCA Inter-
connectorowner s manual.
Thisauxiliary device is automatically setto
AUX2(auxiliary device 2).
#Youcan only make this type of connection if
theauxiliary device has RCA outputs.

Selecting AUX as the source

%PressSRC/OFF to select AUX as the
source.
#Ifthe auxiliary setting is not turned on, AUX
cannotbe selected. For more details, refer to
Switchingthe auxiliary setting on page 43.

Setting the AUX title

Thetitle displayed for the AUX1 (auxiliary de-
vice1) or AUX2 (auxiliary device 2) sourcecan
bechanged.
1 Afteryou have selected AUX as the
source,use MULTI-CONTROL and select
FUNCTIONto display TITLE INPUT.
2 Entera title in the same way as the
built-inCD player.
Fordetails concerning operation, refer to En-
teringdisc titles on page 20.
Turningthe clock displayon or off
Youcan turn the clock display on or off.
!Evenwhen the sources are off, the clock
displayappears on the display.
%PressCLOCK/DISP OFF to turn the clock
displayon or off.
Eachpress of CLOCK/DISP OFF turns the
clockdisplay on or off.
#Theclock display disappears temporarily
whenyou perform other operations, but the clock
displayappears again after 25 seconds.
Switching the displayindication and buttonillumination
Displayindication and button illumination can
beswitched on or off.
