Introduction of audioadjustments
1 PressMULTI-CONTROL to display the
mainmenu.
2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select AUDIO.
Theaudio menu is displayed.
Turnto change the menu option. Press to se-
lect.
3 TurnMULTI-CONTROL to select the
audiofunction.
TurnMULTI-CONTROL to switch between the
audiofunctions in the following order.
FADER(balance adjustment)—P.EQ (equalizer
recall)—EQ(equalizer adjustment)—EQ
(equalizerfine adjustment)—LOUDNESS
(loudness)—SUBW1 (subwoofer on/off set-
ting)—SUBW2 (subwoofer setting)—HPF
(highpass filter)—BASS BOOST (bass boost)
—SLA(source level adjustment)
Notes
!Toreturn to the playback display, press
BAND/ESC.
!IfTELEPHONE is selected as a source, only
FADER(balance adjustment) can be operated.
!Whenthe subwoofer controller setting is
PREOUT:REAR,you cannot switchto SUB W1
(subwooferon/off setting). (Refer to page 43.)
!Youcan select the SUB W2 only when sub-
wooferoutput is turned on in SUB W1.
!Whenselecting FM as the source, you cannot
switchto SLA.
!Ifyou do not operate functions within about
30seconds, the display automatically returns
tothe ordinary display.
Using balance adjustmentYoucan change the fader/balance setting so
thatit can provide the ideal listening environ-
mentin all occupied seats.
1 Displaythe audio menu.

2 UseMULTI-CONTROL to select FADER in
theaudio function menu.
#Ifthe balance setting has been previously ad-
justed,BALANCE will be displayed.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
adjustfront/rear speaker balance.
F15toR15isdisplayedas the front/rear
speakerbalance moves from front to rear.
#F/R0 is the proper setting when only two
speakersare used.
#Whenthe rear output setting is
RearSP :SUB W,you cannot adjust front/rear
speakerbalance. Refer to Setting the rear output
andsubwoofer output on page 43.
4 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
adjustleft/right speaker balance.
L15toR15isdisplayedas the left/right
speakerbalance moves from left to right.
Using the equalizerTheequalizer lets you adjust the equalization
tomatch the car ’s interior acoustic character-
isticsas desired.
Recalling equalizer curves
Thereare six stored equalizer curves which
youcan easily recall at any time. Here is a list
ofthe equalizer curves.
