Protecting your unit fromtheft
Thefront panel can be detached to deter theft.
!Ifthe front panel is not detached from the
headunit within five seconds of turning off
theignition, a warning tone will sound.
!Youcan turn off the warning tone. See
Switchingthe warning tone on page 25.
Important
!Handlegently when removing or attaching
thefront panel.
!Avoidsubjecting the front panel to excessive
shocks.
!Keepthe front panel out of direct sunlight and
hightemperatures.

Removing the front panel

1 PressOPEN to open the front panel.
2 Gripthe left side of the front panel and
pullit gently outward.
Takecare not to grip it too tightly or to drop
thefront panel and protect it from contact
withwater or other fluidsto prevent perma-
nentdamage.
3 Putthe front panel into provided pro-
tectivecase for safe keeping.

Attaching the front panel

%Replacethe front panel by holding it
uprightto the unit and clipping it securely
intothe mounting hooks.
About the demo mode
Thisunit features two demonstration modes.
Oneis the reverse mode, the other is the fea-
turedemo mode.
Important
Thered lead (ACC) of this unit should be con-
nectedto a terminal coupled with ignition switch
on/offoperations. If this is not done, the vehicle
batterymay be drained.
Reversemode
Ifyou do not per form an operation within
about30 seconds, screen indications start to
reverse,and then continue reversing ever y 10
seconds.Pressing BAND when power to this
unitis turned off while the ignition switch is
setto ACC or ON cancels the reverse mode.
PressBAND again to start the reverse mode.
Featuredemo mode
Thefeature demo automatically starts when
powerto this unit is turned off while the igni-
tionswitch is set to ACC or ON. Pressing
DISPLAYduring feature demo operation can-
celsthe feature demo mode. Press DISPLAY
againto start the feature demo mode. Remem-
berthat if the feature demo continues operat-
ingwhen the car engine is turned off, it may
drainbattery power.
