Power ON/OFF
Turningthe unit on
%PressSRC to turn the unit on.
Turningthe unit off
%PressOFF and hold until the unit turns
off.
Selecting a source
Youcan select a source you want to listen to.
Toswitch to the built-in CD player, load a disc
inthe unit (refer to page 16).
%PressSRC repeatedly to switch be-
tweenthe following sources.
XMtuner—Sirius tuner—HD Radio—
Tuner—Television—DVDplayer/Multi-
DVDplayer—Built-in CD player—Multi-
CDplayer—iPod—USB—External unit 1—
Externalunit 2—AUX1—AUX2—BT Audio

Notes
!Inthe following cases, the sound source will
notchange.
—Whenno unit corresponding to the se-
lectedsource is connected.
—Whenthere is no disc or magazine in the
player.
—Whenthe iPod is not connected to this
unit.
—WhenAUX (auxiliary input) is set to off
(referto page 47).
—Whenthe BT audio source is set to off
(referto Activating the BT AUDIO source
onpage 48).
!Ifthe HD Radio tuner is connected to this
unit,tuner source is skipped.
!AUX1is set to on by default. Turn off the AUX1
whennot in use (refer to Switching the auxili-
arysetting on page 47).
!Chargingthe portable audio player using
car’sDC power sourcewhile connecting it to
AUXinput may generate noise. In this case,
stopcharging.
!Externalunit refers to a Pioneer product (such
asones available in the future) that, although
incompatibleas a source, enables control of
basicfunctions with this unit. Two external
unitscan be controlled with this unit. When
twoexternal units are connected, the external
unitis automatically allocated to external unit
1or external unit 2 by this unit.
!Whenthis unit’s blue/white lead is connected
tothe vehicle’s auto-antenna relay control
terminal,the vehicle’s antenna extends when
thisunit’s source is turned on. To retract the
antenna,turn the source off.
